This thrilling 10-day safari journey takes you to Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife hotspots – including Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and the legendary Serengeti National Park, timed to witness the Great Migration crossing the Mara River in the northern Serengeti. The chances of spotting the Big Five are high throughout this adventure.

Day 1: Arrival – Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be met by our friendly representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha for check-in and a restful overnight stay.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, meet your safari driver-guide and begin your adventure with a drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its large herds of elephants and majestic baobab trees. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park and spend the day exploring its diverse wildlife – including zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, baboons, antelopes, and an impressive variety of birds. Predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and jackals may also be spotted.

Day 3: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park (Central)
After breakfast, leave Tarangire and journey towards the Serengeti, passing through the stunning Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Wildlife viewing continues along the way. You’ll stop for a picnic lunch and arrive in Central Serengeti in the afternoon for game drives before heading to your lodge or camp for the evening.

Day 4: Full Day in Central Serengeti
Spend a full day exploring the endless plains of Serengeti, world-renowned for its rich wildlife and the Great Migration. Look out for lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and predators in action. You can choose to take a full-day game drive with a packed lunch, or return to camp for a hot meal and rest before heading out again in the late afternoon.

Day 5: Central Serengeti – Northern Serengeti (Kogatende)
After breakfast and some morning game viewing in Central Serengeti, head north to Kogatende, the best area for witnessing the Mara River crossing. This region offers dramatic wildlife action and incredible landscapes. Arrive in time for an evening game drive.

Day 6 & 7: Northern Serengeti – Mara River Experience
These two days are dedicated to the spectacular Great Migration and the famous Mara River crossing. Watch as thousands of wildebeest and zebras brave the crocodile-infested waters in their journey from Serengeti to Kenya’s Maasai Mara. This is one of the most thrilling natural events on the continent.

Day 8: Northern to Central Serengeti
Enjoy a final morning in the north before slowly making your way back to Central Serengeti with game viewing en route. Arrive at your lodge or camp in the afternoon for a relaxing evening in the wild.

Day 9: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu
After an early breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best wildlife-viewing areas in Africa. The crater floor is home to elephants, rhinos, lions, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, and a variety of birds including flamingos at Lake Magadi. In the afternoon, ascend the crater and continue to Karatu town for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Departure to Zanzibar or Flight Home
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha. You’ll be dropped off at Arusha Airport for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar, or transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport for your international flight home.
